Finally Zend is switching to Eclipse for the Zend Studio application with Zend Neon.The Zend Studio application was in my opinion a visual nightmare, besides that it was sluggy and unstable. Zend is the lead of the PDT project (PHP Development Tool) and takes PDT as base for Zend Neon.Write a comment for this articlePDT is a robust IDE for developing PHP apps with the basic stuff like syntax highlighting, code completion, and more. On top of that Zend Neon gives us PHP Profiling, Zend Framework support, Remote debugging and more as extra features.
On the Zend website is a FAQ page concerning the beta release which you can download if you have a Zend account.
My verdict is positive because it brings the good stuff of Zend Studio the Eclipse and so far as I have seen they did a good job.
